The ASME Model-Based Enterprise Standards Committee (MBE SC) approved the formation of a MBE Framework Working Group (WG). This WG will support consistent definition, organization, and relationships for high-level components of a model-based enterprise to facilitate integrating, information sharing, and exploiting of requirements defined in the MBE standards. Below is the WG's charter statement and an overview of the WG's scope.

MBE Framework WG
Leader: Roy Whittenburg, rdwhittenburg@mbd360.com

Charter Statement: The MBE Framework WG defines the concept of a model-based enterprise by providing a high-level structural definition.

Scope:

  • Develop a narrative definition (in collaboration with the Terms WG) and description of MBE.
  • Investigate and recommend to the MBE SC the best available framework Framework approach for defining MBE.
  • Collect and moderate high-level MBE components, including but not limited to: people, processes, information, technology.
  • Use a methodical model-based approach (in collaboration with the Use Case & MBSD WG) to define the architecture of an MBE.
  • Document the structural definition of core MBE components.

The ASME MBE SC is actively seeking additional members for each of the MBE working groups. Experts willing to contribute toward the work products of a WG, become eligible for WG membership by submitting completed PAF and PF-1 forms to Fred Constantino at constantinof@asme.org.

When completing the PF-1 form, please enter the following information in the corresponding fields:

  • Applicable Committee: The MBE WG you are willing to assist (i.e., Framework WG, Terms WG, or Use Case and MBSD WG)
  • ASME Staff Contact: Fred Constantino

Questions about any WG may be sent to the WG Leaders.
